According to the Business Climate Index India 58 percent of medium-sized companies from Germany, Austria and Switzerland report (sometimes drastic) declines in sales in India since the lockdown and are therefore currently struggling with various challenges in their local subsidiaries.

This study also reports that every fourth manager is already engaged in optimizing and restructuring their local processes and organization in India. One in five companies identified their own cost structure as the main problem. Due to the lack of transparency, many managers from European headquarters have problems making an objective assessment of their organizations in India and are therefore unable to successfully implement the necessary adjustments.
