Interim & Change Manager
Bernd Meissner is a mechanical engineer and senior interim manager with around 25 years of work experience in Germany, as well as 6 years of management experience in India.
He has worked for German medium-sized companies in the metal working and machine building industry and is a specialist in the areas of production, engineering, purchasing / sourcing as well as sales and sales optimization.
He has not only proven that he can successfully manage businesses in both Germany and India under difficult conditions but can also lead and motivate employees from a different culture.
Mr. Meissner has always sought a direct connection to everyday business and has never forgotten how to lend a hand when the situation demands it. He had plenty of opportunity to do so in India:
India requires a particularly high degree of “management attention”, as it is a real challenge to achieve predefined goals by predefined means. I was able to experience this on my own skin and learn to master it in my years in India.
From 2009 to 2014, Mr. Meissner held executive positions in India, including CEO of Flender Ltd. (subsidiary of Flender AG) with responsibility for sales, engineering, production, purchasing, quality and personnel. He also gained experience in optimizing the supply chain, expanding production and expanding local sourcing.
In the course of the takeover of Flender AG by Siemens AG, Mr. Meissner took over the position of Vice President Siemens Ltd. in Kolkata and Kharagpur.
Subsequently, Meissner changed to the position of Chief Executive Officer and Director at W.Hunger Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata, a subsidiary of W.Hunger International GmbH, Würzburg. The focus is on sales and sales optimization, production, purchasing, human resources and finance.
Thereafter he returned to Germany and worked for two years as Industrial Footprint Manager at Heraeus Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG before joining Dr. Wamser + Batra GmbH.
