Christian Laaff established the Indian market for the medium-sized automotive supplier MUBEA from Attendorn, North Rhine-Westphalia. As Sales Manager India, he was responsible for the initialization and maintenance of new business relationships with dealers and customers in the industry – with a focus on energy and mechanical engineering. During this time, he has gained extensive experience of local market dynamics, Indian culture and local business practices, and has built a dense network of contacts with business, NGOs and government organizations that continues to exist today.
After completing a master’s degree at the Cologne Business School, he returned to his old company to assume overall sales responsibility for the Greater Asia area of the family-run 13,000-man business.
Today Christian Laaff manages his own family business with a focus on real estate in Siegen. He is also a lecturer in sales, market entry strategies and marketing at the Cologne Business School, founder of the charitable initiative “Grund für Gutes” and member of the Board of Young Entrepreneurs – Germany’s largest family business association. He still maintains close professional and friendly contacts with India.
